Van Halen Train Wreck

Ouch.

Ouch ouch ouch ouch.

You music techie guys out there, you ever wonder what would happen if the recorded keyboards in Jump play at a 48k bitrate instead of 44.1k and the band tries to play along on their regularly-tuned axes? Well, here t'is!

Poor Eddie tries to adjust but they are all clueless as to why things sound so...off. Someone got a new ass torn backstage I imagine! Thanks to Nedmusic for passing on this horrible train wreck. Very amusing.

Ouch indeed! Poor Eddie was just helpless out there, sounded like a big, discordant drone. But Dave sounded pretty good. Looks like he was doing a little variation on the Stones' phallus stage prop from '75 with that big microphone... damn, I wish I had tickets now!

really too bad but a good recovery - from the other clips I have seen it looks likke they are playing well and having a good time.

You just knew introducing keyboards into the band was going to come back and haunt them (granted, 24 years later).

Sounds like experimental early 20th century music. The 12 tone scale is so overrated ;)
