Brad Paisley and Keith Urban Tune - Dig the Guitar Work

I abhor the new form of 'country pop' that has been around for a while. It's formulaic and dumb. However, you can't find better players than country session musicians.

Take this silly tune from Brad Paisley with Keith Urban. Very predictable lyrics but damn check out the guitar tone, and the dueling leads throughout. I don't know (or care) if it's Brad and Keith playing those licks or if it's session guys. They flipping rock. Make sure to get to the end dueling guitar parts. You'll get it.

Isorski - I agree, very nice guitar work. I remember seeing the "house band" if you will at this place in Colorado Springs called the Flying W Ranch, or something like that. Nice place to take the tourists for Old Western fun, good barbeque, and a nice show of OLD country music with such memorable hits like "I Am My Own Grandpa". Not that I am a fan of country, but they put on a nice show, it was well done, and they were all talented. I remember the guitar player in there whippin' off some licks like I had never heard before, put Yngwie Malmsteen to shame. Goes to show that there is a lot of talent anywhere if you just look for it.

Also, this reminded me of the line from "The Blues Brother": "We play both kinds of music, here. Country, and Western".
